Acting Opportunity

The Child Abuse Prevention Council has been providing an interactive play for the past several years in local elementary schools throughout Shiawassee County. The play, Bubbylonian Encounter, was written by the Theatre for Young Americans & the Council pays for both the rights to perform and actor/actress stipends out of United Way and Children's Trust Fund grants. The play is scheduled to begin the week of March 10 and usually is performed 1-3 days for 1-4 performances each over a 3 to 4 week period. OCP Membership

OCP's productions raise about half of the funds necessary to operate this organization. The remainder comes from membership, sponsorships and fundraising events. Please see the participation page for the different types of memberships offerred by OCP.

An Open Call for Directors

The Owosso Players are accepting applications potential directors for the 2009-2010 season. Persons interested should submit a letter to the Owosso Community Players (PO Box 606, Owosso, MI 48867) listing their experience, theatrical credits, and a short bio or resume.
